Na última primavera em New York City, Eric Clapton mais uma vez organizou uma série de eventos incomparáveis com os guitarristas mais celebrados do mundo para a quarta edição do seu lendário Crossroads Guitar Festival. Enquanto os três festivais anteriores foram todos sediados em espaçosos estádios externos, Clapton levou as festividades pela primeira vez para a “arena mais famosa do mundo”, o Madison Square Garden. O "Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013" estará disponível em DVD e Blu-ray duplos e pela primeira vez em CD Duplo. As versões totalizam aproximadamente cinco horas de música em 45 faixas, mais conversas com os artistas e outros bastidores deste show de estrelas. Além das extraordinárias performances dos clássicos blues e hits renovados, muitas das performances mais memoráveis apresentarão artistas se reunindo para algumas parcerias eletrizantes. Entre os destaques estava a parceria de John Mayer e Keith Urban cantando “Don’t Let Me Down” dos Beatles, Vince Gill e Clapton encarando “Lay Down Sally”, Keb Mo e Taj Mahal fazendo o cover da música de Sleepy John Estes, “Diving Duck Blues”, Gill apresentando “Tumbling Dice” com Urban e Albert Lee e membros do Allman Brothers – Gregg Allman, Warren Haynes e Derek Trucks – juntaram forças para um cover acústico incrível de “The Needle and the Damage Done” de Neil Young. Como era de se esperar, Clapton aparece proeminentemente durante o show com sua própria banda para “Tears In Heaven”. O lendário guitarrista também arrasa no clássico de Derek and the Dominos “Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad” com a Allman Brothers Band, revisitando o momento em 2009 quando este se juntou à banda durante sua participação anual no Beacon Theater em New York.
